Who are Retroactive?

Working together as a force of five minds, Retroactive comprising of Singer Ed Radcliffe, Guitarists Jed Warner and Ed Parsons, Drummer Riley Spencer and ‘Harley Sullivan on the Bass!’ formed in early 2018 and right off the blocks started gigging at local open mic nights based around Aylesbury to gain experience. Since then they have looked wider for more opportunities to grow and develop as a band, and this led them being asked to play at Wycombe Arts Centre Introductory event, having been picked out as an upcoming band in Buckinghamshire. Their pacy sets of indie rock including Arctic Monkeys and Two Door Cinema Club mixed in with their own material, excites audiences and has helped Retroactive to audition and open for the incredible Battle of The Band 5 Final in Buckinghamshire.

Question is, where to go next?

Future In the Studio

With numerous gigs under their belts, Retroactive are now looking for a gateway which will allow their own music to be heard by larger audiences. They have been writing as a group for a little under a year and created a body of work they are proud to play and now they just need the tools to release their own songs and are hoping to release in the late summer 2019! ‘She’s a Drug’ She’s A Drug is the first song for Retroactive and the original idea for was conceived by guitarist Ed Parsons in early 2018 about the toxic addiction of love everyone experiences as teenagers. This was the first song he had written and so the guitar for him was like a playground for a child, and he could go about it however he wanted. He worked on the lyrics with Harley and decided on an idea they wanted to develop throughout the song. The lyrics speak about how love is like a drug and they explore the overwhelming feeling that love has and how this is similar to addiction.
